We will practice in class, then a reading comprehension worksheet will go home and it will be due Thursday. 

Please follow reading comprehension instructions when completing homework.

 Reading Comprehension Instructions  

Step 1 –    Number the paragraphs in the passage.

Step 2 –    Read the passage.

Step 3 -  Read and answer each question.  If you do not know the answer, reread the passage.  If still unsure, eliminate all obvious wrong answers and make the best selection.

Step 4 -   After answering each question, highlight where the answer is located in the passage.  

Step 5 -    Write the number of the paragraph where the answer is found on the line at the top left of each question.  

Step 6 -   The “Strategy Practice” needs to be completed. All written answers must be formed in a complete sentence using as many of the words from the question as possible.  Sentences must start with a capital letter and end with a punctuation mark. If it says to “share with a partner”, share with a parent.
