4th Quarter Report (Biography Report): DUE, May 10th

In order to increase your child’s interest even further in the Middle Ages, they will present an oral biography about a person from this time period. We have been learning about several people from the Middle Ages, and your student picked the name of a person from the Middle Ages. The project is worth 100 points. Please make sure that work is done by the student only. Please find more information in your student's binder. All pages of the packet must be turned in and completed.

Brave movie form: Due Friday, May 10th

As a culminating activity for learning about the Medieval Times, we will be watching the movie Brave on the last day of school. More information is in your student's binder. Please turn in the permission slip no later than Friday, May 10th. If you would like to bring in popcorn, snacks, and treats on the last day please let me know what your student will be bringing.

Spirit Week: Date Change-5/13-17

Optional dress up themes to be announced. Look out for the weekly email from Mrs. Husky

Field Trip to Medieval Times on Thursday, May 16th:

We have been learning about the Medieval Times throughout this year, and we will be going to Medieval Times as a culminating activity! The cost for this field trip is $55.00 per student (due by May 3rd). You can make a donation in this amount to the TPS foundation either online or at the business office. Checks should be made out to the TPS Foundation. We will have chaperones and priority will go to cleared parents who have not been able to chaperone on previous field trips. If you are unsure of your status please check with Mrs. Husky in the office. Chaperones will be chosen in a lottery style on Friday, May 3rd. You will be notified through email on this date if you were chosen to chaperone. Please do not email indicating your interest as a chaperone, only fill out the field trip forms indicating on the form that you would like to chaperone.

Catapult Competition: Thursday, May 30th: Please only bring in catapults and marshmallows the day of the competition.

This is a fast, fun, and easy activity to build together with your child!  We learned about the Middle Ages this year, so it seems appropriate to build a medieval invention. Each student can make one catapult and bring it to school for a fun and friendly competition.

* You may also choose to design your own catapult, but it must be small enough for your child to carry on their own.

* We will be using marshmallows to launch during the competition.  You may want to practice at home to ensure that your catapult is ready to compete.

If you’d like to donate a bag of marshmallows, please let me know. J
